Forelle pears are expensive to munch on but if you can find them they make a nifty little garnish for cocktails and desserts! Slices from a regular sized pear will also work.
Ingredients
1 large pear, peeled, cored, and chopped
1 Forelle pear cut in half for a garnish (you can also use pear slices from any pear)
2 tablespoons coconut extract
2 ounces chili simple syrup (recipe follows)
2 ounces pear vodka
juice from half of a lime

Ingredients
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 of Jalapeno pepper, seeds removed
Directions
Add all ingredients into a saucepan. Bring to a boil until the sugar dissolves. Cool completely. Remove and discard pepper.
Directions For Cocktail
Add pears into a blender and puree. Add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well. Place ice into a cocktail shaker. Pour pureed mixture in and shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into a martini glass. Place half of Forelle pear into the glass as a garnish.
